The following entry fees are in place for the 2017 Baltimore Triathlon:
If you are not a member of USA Triathlon on race day, a One-Day License must be purchased in order for you to participate.
The fee for the one-day license is $15, and is not included in the above pricing.
Please read the following information on race registrations CAREFULLY! If you have questions about these policies, or if anything is unclear, please e-mail us at email@example.com PRIOR TO REGISTERING.
The Baltimore Triathlon, in partnership with imATHLETE (the race registration website) does offer refunds should the race be cancelled under certain circumstances. You can read more about what is covered and what is not here. All registrants automatically receive this coverage upon registering – there are no additional steps you need to complete. Please note that the Baltimore Triathlon does not offer refunds for any reason other than the circumstances specifically stated in the imATHLETE cancellation refund information. If you sign up for the event and are unable to participate, please see the information below on cancellations.
If you have signed up to participate in the race and cannot attend, you may cancel your registration up to 7 days prior to the race. Cancelling your registration creates a discount code that will give you a 50% credit for the 2018 Baltimore Triathlon based on what you paid for the 2017 race, and releases your spot to the next person on the wait list. For example, if you signed up at the $80 price and cancel, you will receive a code good for $40 toward the 2018 race. You will not receive a refund for the entry fee you paid, as the event has no refund policy (see above). To cancel your registration, log in to the imAthlete, click “Edit Registration” and select “Cancel Registration.” You must cancel your registration at least 7 days prior to race day in order to receive the discount code.
Since 2014, the Baltimore Triathlon has sold out over 2 months in advance of race day. However, plans change and people cancel for various reasons per our cancellation policy above. In order to accommodate as many athletes as possible, an automated wait list will be created for the race should the event sell out prior to race day. Each time a person cancels their entry someone is moved from the wait list to the confirmed entries. In order to get on the wait list you must pay the current race entry fee in full. If you do not get in to the 2017 race you will be sent a coupon code allowing you to register for the 2018 race for free (essentially a deferral). Signing up for the wait list DOES NOT guarantee you entry into the 2016 event, and refunds will not be given to those who sign up for the wait list and do not get in to the race this year.
The cancellation/waitlist system was set up to facilitate the transfer of entries from those who registered and cannot participate to those who would like to participate but did not register before the event sold out. All transfers must be handled through the cancellation/waitlist system to maintain the integrity of the waitlist.
At this time, we are unable to offer a deferral option for this event.
